I BELIEVE IN AN AMERICA that is built upon "this Constitution for the United States of America." An America built upon the concepts declared in the Declaration of Independence , to wit: We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness -- That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. <My emphasis> This administration has usurped unto itself the right to arbitrarily deny Liberty to any US Citizen and hold them without Due Process indefinitely. Hardly a Government "deriving its JUST powers from the Consent of the Governed". Hardly the actions of an administration that believes "that all Men are created equal". THIS Government is attempting to seize our liberty and dictate to us what our rights may be.
The Preamble to the Constitution states: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquillity, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. When an Administration reserves the right to suspend or alter the essential liberties which are our Rights under the Constitution they commit the ultimate betrayal of their Oaths of Office (to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America) and are actually attempting to overthrow our system of government. THIS Administration has not only attempted but actually executed significant invasion of our rights in the name of "safety". I BELIEVE IN AN AMERICA that follows the opinion of Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." The Drafters of the Constitution knew it wouldn't be easy, they tried to create a framework that would tend to correct the excesses in Government. The equal power of the three branches was to ensure that even if two of the branches came under extremist control the third would refuse to go along and thereby thwart the attempted coup. THIS Administration has attempted a coup and must not be permitted to succeed. If we want our Liberty - WE must defend it. It is not the responsibility of the Department of Homeland <In>Security, nor the FBI, CIA or even the Armed Forces to defend it, it is the individual responsibility of every man woman and child to defend our personal liberty and refuse to surrender it to a superior force. "Live Free or Die" is not an idle demand but one that needs to be burned into the consciousness of every citizen and taught to every prospective citizen. I BELIEVE IN AN AMERICA that concerns itself with individual liberty and does not fall for the lies and propaganda spread by those who would distract us from preserving our Liberty into invading our neighbors' bedrooms or their bookcases or listening in on their telephone calls in the interests of "National Security". OUR "National Security" would be well served by throwing these neo-Nazi thugs out of Washington and send them back to the swamps from whence they came. Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it. THIS Administration has become "destructive to these Ends" and we need to "alter or abolish it" in November. That's OUR right and OUR Power. THROW THESE BUMS OUT IN NOVEMBER - REGAIN OUR LIBERTY! |
