A calculated grab for control

If you read the news, you'll have seen the "public rebuke" of the Justice Department by the FISA court.  The FISA court has never in its history ever published a ruling until now.  They address an attempt by the Justice Department to presume to declare what is and is not permitted under the law without any oversight by the courts.

Combine that with the presumption by the President to claim the unrestricted right to declare ANY individual - citizen or not - an "unlawful combatant" and then deprive that individual of their constitutional rights indefinitely.

This administration is attempting to overturn the Constitution and grab power in the same way the Nazis used in 1933 in Germany.  We already have our first concentration camp in Camp X Ray and other "holding facilities" in the US where people are held without access to counsel or the courts.

If we do or say nothing - we are tacitly approving a coup d'état by the administration.  Once they have control, why would they bother with elections?

Our elected officials have now given the President the right to attack Iraq without further notice.  While I believe that the regime of Sadaam Hussein needs to be exterminated, is it worth placing the United States in the position of being seen as the big bully crushing a smaller country - however venomous that country is?  Can we afford to ignore the warnings of our friends as well as our enemies?

It's election season, its time we "informed" our so-called representatives that WE can speak too.  We may not have the money to bribe them even though most of them seem to be for sale to the highest bidder but we can change their cozy little world too.

Choose carefully - these people could be responsible for you losing your job, your home and your hope.  Vote for PEOPLE not parties. Their Party "platforms" are discarded instantly once the polls close.

Take Control - VOTE.

Watch your government - they are doing things you won't like.
